To qualify for the Tier I rate for meals served
to children enrolled in your day care program, you must either:
- Qualify by school: be located in a school
area of economic need. (information found by NWNS)
- Qualify by census data: live in an area of
economic need. (information found by NWNS)

If you already qualify for Tier I rates for
day care children and wish to claim your own children at meals
shared with day care children, then you must either:
- If qualify by School: complete an income
statement (no proof of income needed)
- If qualify by Census: complete an income
statement (no proof of income needed)
- If qualify by income: complete an income
statement (proof is needed) See verification form and business
expense form.
- If qualify by participation in a federally
or state funded program whose income guidelines do not exceed
the 185 percent income poverty guidelines: complete an income
statement with proof of program participation.
If you wish to claim your foster children,
then you must complete an income statement
with the childs case number.
Confidentiality:
The information included in the application and verification
documentation provided is confidential. This information may
only be made available to designated representatives of the sponsoring
agency, Oregon Department of Education, representatives of USDA
or the General Accounting Office. |
